Owner and data controller

Types of data collected

Among the types of personal data this website collects, by itself or through the service providers it uses, are:

• Contact details: first and last name, email address and phone number.
• Project information: the service you are interested in, the town or area of the work, your project description, a preferred start date and, on the finance enquiry, an approximate budget and any figures you carried over from the Payment Estimator.
• Photos: up to five optional photos of the space or the problem.
• Correspondence: messages, emails and notes of calls we exchange with you.
• Technical data: your IP address and browser type, recorded for security and to keep the site working, and the cookies described below.

Personal data is provided by you, except technical data, which is collected automatically when you use the site. Fields marked as required are needed to answer your request; everything else is optional, and leaving it out does not affect the service. If you are unsure which data is required, please contact us.

If you send us personal data about someone else (for example a co-owner of the property), please make sure they agree.

Mode and place of processing the data

Methods of processing

We take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction of your data. The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Enquiries can only be viewed by our signed-in administrators. Uploaded photos are checked, re-encoded to strip hidden metadata (such as the location where the photo was taken) and stored privately; they are never published on the website.

Besides our own team, your data may be accessible to service providers who help us run the website and our business, such as our hosting provider and email provider, acting on our behalf. An up-to-date list of these parties is available from us on request.

Place

Data is processed at our office in League City, Texas, and on servers operated by our hosting and email providers, which may be located elsewhere in the United States or in other countries.

Retention time

We keep personal data for as long as we need it to respond to your enquiry and to provide any work you ask us to carry out. After that we keep only what we must for legal, tax, warranty and accounting purposes, then delete it. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner (see your rights below).

Why we use your data

We use the data concerning you to:

• reply to your questions and requests for information, estimates or financing;
• prepare and send your free estimate, whether in person or virtual;
• plan, carry out and follow up the work you ask us to do;
• keep the website secure and detect spam, abuse or fraudulent activity;
• comply with our legal obligations and protect our rights and those of our customers.

Detailed information on the processing of personal data

Contact and estimate form (this website)

By filling in the contact form you allow us to use your details to reply to requests for information, estimates or any other request described in the form.

Personal data processed: first and last name; email address; phone number; project information; photos (optional).

Finance enquiry form (this website)

The finance enquiry lets you tell us about the project you would like to finance. It is not a credit application and we do not run a credit check. If you decide to apply, the application is made with the lender, under the lender's own terms and privacy policy. We share your details with a lender only if you ask us to.

Personal data processed: first and last name; email address; phone number; project information; approximate budget.

Payment Estimator (this website)

The figures you enter are used to calculate an estimate in your browser and on our server. They are not stored unless you choose to send them with a finance enquiry.

Email notifications

When an enquiry arrives, our team receives an email alert with the enquiry reference so we can respond quickly.

Website hosting

Our hosting provider stores the website and its database and processes the technical data needed to deliver pages to you, such as your IP address.

Web fonts (Bunny Fonts)

The typefaces on this site are delivered by Bunny Fonts, a font service provided by BunnyWay d.o.o. To deliver the fonts, your browser connects to their servers, which receive your IP address. Bunny Fonts states that it does not log or store this information.

Links to other websites

This site links to services run by others, such as Google Maps for directions, lenders' finance applications, our card payment provider and review websites. When you follow those links, the other service's privacy policy applies. Card payments are processed entirely by the payment provider; we never see or store your card details.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies it strictly needs to work:

We do not use advertising, analytics or social media tracking cookies. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for your consent.

Who we share data with

• Service providers who help us run the website and our business (hosting, email, IT support), under instructions to protect your data.
• Lenders, only when you ask us to help with a finance application.
• Subcontractors and suppliers working on your project, only the details they need to do their part.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
• A successor business, if our company is ever sold or reorganized, under the same protections.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.

Information for users in the United States

This section applies to all users in the United States and supplements the rest of this policy. It is written to reflect the privacy laws of states such as Texas (Texas Data Privacy and Security Act) and California (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA), to the extent they apply to us.

Categories of personal information we collect

We collect this information from you directly and, for technical data, automatically from your device. We use it for the purposes described above and keep it for the periods described under "Retention time".

Your rights

• Access and portability: to know what personal information we hold about you and to receive a copy.
• Correction: to have inaccurate information corrected.
• Deletion: to have your personal information deleted, subject to legal exceptions.
• Opt out: of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling. We do none of these, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still ask.
• Non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

How to exercise your rights

Email us at info@74amana.com or call 713-74AMANA. We may ask for information to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will reply within 45 days (we may extend this once by another 45 days when reasonably necessary, and we will tell you if we do). You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line "Privacy appeal". We will respond to your appeal within 60 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact the Attorney General of Texas (texasattorneygeneral.gov) or the attorney general of your state.

Children

This website is meant for adults planning work on their homes. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this policy, for example when we add a new service to the website. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear on this page and, where we have your contact details and the law requires it, tell you directly.
